Social Media Intern
About PeerZu
PeerZu is a student-led project built to help college students find local, short-term freelance jobs on campus. We're focused on creating a platform that feels authentic, student-first, and genuinely useful for campus life.
Role Overview
We're opening a Social Media Internship for UCLA students interested in content creation, social media strategy, and campus storytelling.
Interns will work directly alongside the founders and be part of a small, tight-knit team of 3–5 social media interns responsible for shaping PeerZu's social media presence. This team will collectively own content ideas, execution, and growth for PeerZu's UCLA-focused social channels.
This is a hands-on role with real creative ownership — not busy work.
What You'll Do
- Brainstorm and develop content ideas relevant to UCLA students
- Create and assist with posts, reels, and stories
- Help shape the tone, voice, and direction of PeerZu's social media
- Collaborate weekly with the team to plan content
- Engage with student organizations, creators, and campus communities
- Learn how a student startup builds and scales a social presence from scratch
What You'll Gain
- Real-world experience working directly with founders
- Creative ownership over a live, growing social media account
- Portfolio-ready work you can showcase on LinkedIn or resumes
- Experience collaborating in a small, fast-moving team
- Insight into building a student-led platform from the ground up
Who We're Looking For
- UCLA students interested in social media, content, or marketing
- Comfortable with Instagram and current content trends
- Creative, reliable, and collaborative
- No prior internship experience required
Growth Opportunity
Strong performers may be invited to continue in a return role beyond the initial internship period, with increased responsibility and leadership opportunities.
